Removing their clearances could be a tactic to catch those who illegally transfer and accept classified info. These former leaders will surely continue to receive classified info, especially as it relates to any moves against them. Trump could put surveillance in place, while planting info or disinfo as bait for those who would leak classified info to these people. Trump has numerous ways to bring these people to justice if he chooses. It may also be that Trump will instead opt to blackmail them with any prosecutorial leverage. I would love to see these criminals perp walk and have their crimes exposed. However, if such big names and their associates are prominently charged and taken down, take that as a sign that Trump’s authoritarianism will go into overdrive and be weaponized against all who disagree with him.
Looking at patterns, I’ve noticed thatTrump came in like a lamb his first term, and he allowed himself to be metaphorically crucified without a meaningful fight. Also, his metaphorical resurrection occurred on the third term, with the first and second terms being his first coming, and stolen would-be second term. Hence, it is like a resurrection on the third day for him to be back in power on the third term.
