Romania riots for freedom, testable prediction for Carney going forwards and more: Links post 1 for March 12, 2025

1. It is great when someone makes a prediction that can be tested very soon. The exact opposite of Global Warming and many other narrative attacks, this one about Carney and his intentions we should know within a week or two.

2. Something tells me that the Romanians have been here before. The difference is, who learned more. The tyrants, or the freedom seekers?

 The gendarmerie cut the power, plunging the streets into darkness.  Under the cover of night, they launched their attack on peaceful demonstrators.  They thought if they silenced the protests in the dark, the world wouldn’t see.  THIS IS A WAR ON THE PEOPLE. When a government turns off the lights so they can beat their own citizens unseen, it is no longer a democracy. This is tyranny.  THEY WANT YOU AFRAID—DON’T LET THEM WIN. The more they repress, the stronger the resistance becomes. Romania will not back down. The people will not be silenced.  SHARE THIS EVERYWHERE. The world must know what is happening.

3. Have to say, Brian Lilley is doing a passible job as a healthy critical eye on the new Prime Minister. Here Lilley explains how Carney intends to double down on the “carbon tax” but use weasel words to make it look like he’s actually ending it. or something. Classical dialectics in any case on Carney’s part. But you don’t get to be an executive at the WEF without knowing a thing or two about Hegel and Lenin.

EDITORIAL: Carney isn’t killing the carbon tax

Liberal leader and prime minister-designate Mark Carney is leading Canadians down the garden path on the Liberals’ carbon tax, aided and abetted by reports claiming he will scrap it.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

What he actually says he is going to do is to fold Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s fuel charge (a.k.a. the “consumer carbon tax” on 22 forms of fossil fuel energy, including gasoline and natural gas) into an “improved and tightened” existing cap-and-trade regime covering large industrial emitters, known as the output-based pricing system (OBPS).

Cap and trade is a carbon tax by another name, although less visible to the public.

It raises the prices we pay for goods created using fossil fuel energy — meaning almost everything —as opposed to the carbon tax which increases taxes on them.
