IDF deploying ‘worm-sized’ spy devices in Gaza to track hostages, future targets – report

Israel has recently intensified its intelligence operations, using drones to deploy espionage devices in various areas of the Gaza Strip and collect information on future targets, the London-based Arabic newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported, citing sources from Palestinian terror factions in Gaza.

The report also said that some of these drones are being used to gather intelligence on hostages still held in Gaza.

Other sources from Gaza-based terrorist organizations claimed that the newly deployed surveillance tools released by drones include cameras and other wiretapping devices as small as a worm. These devices, they alleged, are hidden in bags placed in remote areas, cemeteries, and sometimes even in densely populated neighborhoods.

Eyewitnesses are confirming continuously that it is Syrian leader al-Jolani’s Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) jihadists who are massacring civilians in Syria and trying to cover it up. Most of the mainstream media believed that al-Jolani was suddenly transformed into a “moderate,” and continue to support and run interference for him despite his barbaric history and continued actions against minorities, primarily the Alawites — the sect to which al-Assad belonged. France 24’s “terrorism expert” Wassim Nasr is calling the victims the instigators, saying that the jihad massacre of the Alawites was actually “the first coordinated attack by remnants of the Assad regime.” He then quoted al-Jolani as saying that he would hold responsible “anyone who was involved in the bloodshed of civilians.”

EXCLUSIVE: Canada’s wealthiest neighbourhoods propelled Carney to victory

Mark Carney’s road to victory in the Liberal leadership ran through Canada’s wealthiest and most elite communities.

A breakdown of the official Liberal Party of Canada leadership results shows that Mark Carney’s biggest backers aren’t middle or working-class Canadians struggling with the cost of living, but rather those who seem to have been immune to the economic hardships of the last decade.

The top 20 ridings that delivered the most votes for Carney in his landslide victory as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s replacement are home to multimillion-dollar estates, private schools, and well-connected insiders—people unlikely to feel the direct sting of Liberal economic policies.

Carney’s strongest support came from exclusive luxury communities like Toronto’s Rosedale, Ottawa’s Rockcliffe Park, and Canada’s wealthiest municipality, West Vancouver.

What we can learn from this is that people who know how to make a lot of Money, or people who happened across a great deal of money, often think of themselves as high information people on all subjects.

While it is a truism that the most successful people in any given field generally have higher IQs than average, and this has been so tested as to not need a reference, this doesn’t mean that they have knowledge or understanding outside of the field for which they have achieved success. For example I would not want Albert Einstein performing heart surgery on me, even if he had an IQ 40 points higher than the surgeon. (But I would hope he has a high enough intelligence that he would know to refuse the request.)

So a lot of very wealthy people cast their lot for Mark Carney. This could mean several things. Maybe they know they are protecting their own interests in ways we are not privy to. But most likely they imagine because he was governor of a couple of banks that somehow he would set Canada’s financials back on course. I have talked to people who think as a banker, he couldn’t possibly be the Leninist Marxist he himself says he is, And they will vote for him.

Speaking of banks, this is an interesting bit of legislation. I have no idea what it means yet, but I have sent it to a fellow with decades of banking experience in a Canadian Co-op bank and am anxiously awaiting his explanation. If anyone reading this far cares to take a stab at an explanation in the comments, I would also be grateful.

Sunset provision

• 21 (1) Subject to subsections (2) and (4), banks shall not carry on business, and authorized foreign banks shall not carry on business in Canada, after June 30, 2026.

  (2) The Governor in Council may, by order, extend by up to six months the time during which banks may continue to carry on business and authorized foreign banks may continue to carry on business in Canada. No more than one order may be made under this subsection.

  (3) The order is not a regulation for the purposes of the Statutory Instruments Act. However, it shall be published in Part II of the Canada Gazette.

  (4) If Parliament dissolves on the day set out in subsection (1) or on any day within the six-month period before that day or on any day within an extension ordered under subsection (2), banks may continue to carry on business, and authorized foreign banks may continue to carry on business in Canada, until the end of the 180th day after the first day of the first session of the next Parliament.
