KS Lakshmana Rao’s Victory Crucial For Public Voice In Legislative Council

Guntur: Jai Andhra Democratic Forum General Secretary Meda Srinivas has called for electing K.S. Lakshmana Rao, the graduates’ constituency candidate from the United Krishna-Guntur districts, to ensure a strong public voice in the Legislative Council. He emphasized that Lakshmana Rao’s track record as an honest and committed public servant makes him the ideal candidate.

A meeting in support of KS Lakshmana Rao was held at Geetha Cafe Hotel in Guntur on the 24th of this month, chaired by Awareness Founder Konda Shivaramireddy. Leaders from various civil society organizations attended the gathering.

Speaking at the event, Meda Srinivas highlighted that Lakshmana Rao has dedicated over four decades to addressing social, economic, and political issues. He has served as an MLC for 14 years with integrity, focusing on public welfare, and has remained free from corruption. Srinivas urged voters to rally behind him to continue his impactful work.

Jana Chaitanya Vedika State President Vallamreddy Lakshmana Reddy underscored Lakshmana Rao’s extensive contributions to public movements. As a former Andhra University Students’ Union Secretary, a founding member of Praja Chaitanya Vedika and Janavigyan Vedika, and a dedicated educator, Lakshmana Rao has continuously fought for the people’s cause. He further noted that Lakshmana Rao has set a rare example by rejecting government housing benefits in Hyderabad and donating half of his salary towards social initiatives.

Penugonda Lakshminarayana, a Kendra Sahitya Academy Awardee and National President of the Progressive Writers’ Association, stressed the need for Lakshmana Rao’s presence in the Legislative Council to amplify public concerns. He praised Lakshmana Rao’s commitment to leftist ideals and social justice, urging voters to transcend political barriers in their support.

Avadhanula Hari, Secretary of the Constitutional Forum, emphasized Lakshmana Rao’s efforts in educating students about the Constitution through conferences and free book distribution. He asserted that Lakshmana Rao’s re-election is essential to securing Andhra Pradesh’s rightful share of central funds and ensuring a strong voice for the people in governance.

Progressive Forum President P. Mallikarjuna Rao highlighted Lakshmana Rao’s consistent involvement in protests and demonstrations. He reminded voters that Lakshmana Rao has been arrested multiple times while advocating for public issues, showcasing his dedication to the cause.

The meeting saw participation from prominent activists and leaders, including Nestham Co-founder T Dhanunjaya Reddy, Service Health Organization founders Dr. T Seva Kumar and Dr. John Babu, Dalit Bahujan Front Founder Korivi Vinay Kumar, Bank Union leader M Sambasiva Rao, and Janavigyan Vedika leader Gorantla Venkat Rao. They all echoed the call to ensure Lakshmana Rao’s victory for the betterment of society.
