Nagari – Andhra Pradesh: Commemorating the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, people from villages surrounding Nagari in Chittoor district held a spirited and symbolic bike rally to reaffirm their commitment to protecting constitutional rights, blending tradition with innovation in their celebrations.

Rally begins with garland ceremony at Sattravada

The event kicked off at Sattravada Circle in Nagari Municipality, where school students, youth, and women gathered in large numbers. Holding placards, Constitution books, and Ambedkar’s writings, they garlanded Ambedkar’s statue and chanted “Jai Bhim” and slogans dedicated to upholding constitutional values.

Bike rally winds through Nagari, ends at Ambedkar Circle

A vibrant bike rally, initiated by local youth, traveled from Sattravada to Ambedkar Circle in the heart of Nagari town. Participants from nearby villages joined en route, amplifying the message:

“We are committed to protecting constitutional rights” and “We will continue Ambedkar’s dream.”

The rally was led by Golden Buddha Vihar youth leaders including Sandeep, Umapati, Mahesh, Stalin, Tamil, Ageel, and Basha, alongside senior leader Govindan of the Ambedkar Sangha. Their leadership added gravitas and coordination to the celebration.

Women and girls add energy and purpose

A standout aspect of the event was the active participation of women and young girls, who brought renewed energy and purpose to the celebration. Their presence was widely appreciated and symbolized an inclusive movement for constitutional awareness.

Celebrating Ambedkar’s legacy with a constitutional promise
