Standing before Congress, Trump received a five minute ovation with interminant chants of USA! USA! The miserable Democrats sat sullen and joyless.

The Democrats are holding up signs saying, “This is not normal.” Describing themselves more like.

The speech was fire.

“Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this Capitol and proclaimed the dawn of the Golden Age of America. From that moment on, it has been nothing but swift and unrelenting action to usher in the greatest and most successful era in the history of our country. We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplish in 4 years or 8 years—and we are JUST GETTING STARTED.”

Democrats screeching and won’t let Trump speak. But the Chamber is lit and they are shouting down the destroyers. It’s beautiful.

Radical Democrat Congressman Green is waving a cane around.

The Sergeant at Arms remove a few disrupters. Trump will not suffer fools. He calls out their Trump Derangement Syndrome. And pintedly says nothing he could ever do or say would get their approval.

McNabb is now a member of the Independent Women’s Forum and an advocate for girls’ sports.

The Democrats didn’t clap or acknowledge her either.

Nor did they clap or move when Trump announces a loss of funding for men playing in women’s sports.

The cheers for Elon and DOGE is priceless.

Trump on border: ‘All we really needed was a new president’

President Trump just knocked his predecessor again, this time for former President Joe Biden’s open-border policies.

“The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying that we needed new legislation to secure the border,” Trump said. “But it turned out that all we really needed was a new president.”

Congressional Republicans blocked Democrats from passing a massive border package last year as the 2024 campaign ramped up, arguing that it would codify some of the permissive immigration policies of the Biden administration.

Trump: ‘Laken Riley was stolen from us by a savage’

President Trump recognized the mother and sister of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, who are in attendance, and blamed the Biden administration’s policies for her death.

“Laken was stolen from us by a savage, illegal alien gang member who was arrested while trespassing across Biden’s southern border and then sent to the United States under the heartless policies of that failed administration,” Trump said.

“It was indeed a failed administration.”

Trump recounted how he signed the Laken Riley Act to ratchet up immigration enforcement against illegal immigrants who partake in theft-related crimes.

“Last year, I told Laken’s grieving parents that we would ensure their daughter would not have died in vain,” the president recounted. “That’s why the very first bill I signed into law as your 47th president mandates the detention of all dangerous criminal aliens who threaten public safety. It’s very strong.”

Pn Tariffs:

“Whatever they tariff us, we tariff them. Whatever they tax us, we tax them. If they do non-monetary tariffs to keep us out of their market, then we do non-monetary barriers to keep them out of our market. We will take in trillions of dollars and create jobs like we have never seen before.”

He also reiterated he will announce a sweeping agriculture tariff to take effect April 2.

“The tariffs will go on agricultural product coming into America and our our farmers, starting on April 2. It may be a little bit of an adjustment period. We had that before, when I made the deal with China, $50 billion of purchases, and I said, ‘just bear with me.’ And they did. They did. “You probably have to bear with me again, and this will be even better.”

He aks farmers to stick with him on tariffs. “Our farmers are going to have a field day” with this issue.

On CHIPS:

President Trump slammed the Biden-era CHIPS and Science Act while boasting about the private sector investments in the US that have been announced under his watch.

“We’re not giving them any money here,” Trump said. “The CHIPS Act is a horrible, horrible thing. We have hundreds of billions of dollars, and it doesn’t mean a thing. They take our money and they don’t spend it.”

The CHIPS Act allocated some $280 billion in funding to bolster the manufacturing and research of semiconductors in the US. It was one of former President Joe Biden’s signature bipartisan legislative achievements.

“We just want to protect our businesses and our people, and they will come because they won’t have to pay tariffs if they build in America,” he argued. “You should get rid of the Chip Act.”

Trump touts more than $1.7T in US investments from tech firms

President Trump announced in his speech that since taking office, his administration has ushered in $1.7 trillion in big tech investments within the US.

That includes business from SoftBank, Oracle and Apple.

“[Apple CEO] Tim Cook called me and said, ‘I cannot spend it fast enough,’” Trump claimed.

“They’ll be building plants here instead of in China,” he predicted.

Trump vows to remove federal bureaucrats that resist his orders ‘immediately’

President Trump vowed to fire any government worker who “resists” his executive orders.

“My administration will reclaim power from this unaccountable bureaucracy, and we will restore true democracy to America again,” the president said after criticizing the “millions and millions” of federal regulations on the books and “hundreds of thousands” of government employees who refuse return to office mandates.

America, ‘founded by pioneers and risk-takers,’ buried in “regulations and debt’

President Trump just made an aside on the power of the federal government’s rulemaking authority, saying that “the nation founded by pioneers and risk-takers now drowns under millions and millions of pages of regulations and debt.”

We’re almost 40 minutes into a speech that has focused almost entirely on Trump’s bread-and-butter 2024 campaign issues: Joe Biden’s failures, shrinking the size of government and social issues.
