Metamorphosis: the Omega Generation

Discussing current events and how they relate to Biblical prophesy. What are some critical signs are pointing to the imminent Rapture of the Church?

Brothers, I tell you this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and corruption cannot inherit incorruption. Listen! I am telling you a mystery:

We will not all fall asleep,
but we will all be changed,
in a moment, in the blink of an eye,
at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised incorruptible,
and we will be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:50-52)

In the book of Matthew, we see Jesus teaching the Apostles that the Tribulation, and his Rapture of the bride will be linked to a certain generation, the “Omega Generation”:

Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. (Matthew 24:32-34).

We believe that this generation started when Israel (often Biblically symbolized as a fig tree) was reestablished as a nation in 1948 after 1,900 years of dispersion, persecution and oppression. The reason we think this is the last generation is that the Rapture, Tribulation and Second Coming require the existence of the nation of Israel.

A Biblical generation is defined as 70 – 80 years in Psalm 90:10: Our lives last seventy years
or, if we are strong, eighty years.

Now, applying simple addition, we can add 80 years to 1948 and conclude that the Rapture is imminent. We know the time is short because the move of Holy Spirit across this land is:

Magnificent!!!
Accelerated!!!
Anointed!!!
Planned!!!
Promoted!!!
Promised!!!
Protected!!!

What is the meaning of “we will all be changed” (metamorphosis)? In the Greek language, meta means change and morphe means form.

In nature, metamorphosis is the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form – a completely different form. The butterfly is a great example:

The Lord completes His plan for the Universe by joining with the Body of Christ. This includes our transformation at the Rapture.

The Bible uses our relationship as the Church with Jesus Christ as His “body” and His “bride”. These are symbolic designations for something so wonderful and beyond our comprehension that we can’t fully understand it at this time. The Body of Christ consists of individuals that are joined together to form the “body.”

Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. (Romans 12:4-5)

Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body? (1 Corinthians 6:15)

He uses the example of the human body to try to explain the concept of being an individual in Christ as well as a part of a larger “superorganism” – the Body of Christ.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

The Word of God teaches us that we are spirits that have a soul and live in a body. Using modern terminology, we could say that the soul can be compared to software, and the body is our hardware. For our spirits to interact with the world, we need our body.

What is our body?

Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground… (Genesis 2:7)

What is the “dust”? Dust is even finer than silt, about 2 microns. Considering the size of our DNA (the nuclear volume of an entire sperm cell containing an entire molecule of DNA, is only about 30 microns) the use of dust to identify man’s body in Scripture is significant. DNA has a crystalline structure. DNA, absent any of the other biological systems that make for a living cell, is nothing more than dust.

Thousands of years before the cell was discovered, the Bible explained that we are made up of microscopic particles.

Science has determined that you are made up of 7 octillion atoms (that’s 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms). You have 37 trillion cells, and there are 86 billion neurons powering your brain. Your heart beats 100,000 times per day. If all the DNA in your body were uncoiled, it would stretch out to about 10 billion miles, which is from Earth to Pluto and back. There are  37 thousand billion billion chemical reactions per second in the human body. The human body is a miracle!

What is our soul?

Our soul is our consciousness. It is the immaterial, ethereal part of a human being, regarded as immortal. The soul includes the mind, the will, and emotions. The soul drives the body, much like a driver operates a vehicle. Without the soul, the body quickly disintegrates. Out of all of the Universe, man was created as a special being:

Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)

Throughout our lives, our soul and our body act in concert together. When the body dies, the soul remains.

What is our spirit?

In the Old Testament, “spirit” is ruach, found some 378 times in the Hebrew Old Testament, and literally meaning “breath,” “wind,” etc. The corresponding Greek term is pneuma, occurring 379 times in the New Testament (the original form being found in our English word, pneumonia).

Our spirit is the part with which we contact God and interact with the things of the spiritual realm. The human spirit is our bridge to the Lord. Man was created in God’s image, and when he severed himself from his Godly source at the Fall, he became spiritually dead. Those who reject Jesus Christ will remain spiritually dead for all eternity.

But, when God’s Holy Spirit joins with our spirit, we become a part of God’s family.

I will praise the Lord who counsels me—
even at night my conscience instructs me.
I keep the Lord in mind always.
Because He is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad
and my spirit rejoices;
my body also rests securely. (Psalm 16:7-9)

When you accept the Lord as your Savior, the connection between you and God is restored.

When someone accepts the Lord, their spirit is immediately joined with Him – in Heaven:

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens, so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:1-7)

In the near future, when we are Raptured, our spirit, soul, and new body will be joined together with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!

Jesus told them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are counted worthy to take part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. For they cannot die anymore, because they are like angels and are sons of God, since they are sons of the resurrection. Moses even indicated in the passage about the burning bush that the dead are raised, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. He is not God of the dead but of the living, because all are living to Him.” (Luke 20:34-38)

Be guaranteed salvation and a place in heaven today. Turn from your sins and turn to God, because the Kingdom of heaven is coming. You can accept the Lord’s plan for saving you, by praying like this:

Father God, I thank you that you sent your son Jesus Christ to come to earth and show us by his example how to live. I know that He was my Passover lamb – He suffered and took my rebellion and sin upon himself, and died and then rose again. I ask you Jesus to forgive my sins, help me to live for you and stop rebelling, and to be the Savior and Lord of my life. I invite you Holy Spirit to live in me and guide me away from sin and teach me the Word of God in the Bible. Amen!
