Chicago Bears: Day 3 standouts at Senior Bowl; pass rushers galore

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears brass spent most of their time watching the offensive line battle the defensive line during 1-on-1 periods. That shouldn’t be surprising, given that the Bears need to add depth at multiple positions on both units.

Fortunately for Chicago, there should be plenty of talent in the trenches for the team to consider following the first round of the draft. There is a good probability that some of the Senior Bowl standouts this week will be selected by the Bears in April.

Here are several offensive and defensive linemen who stood out during practice No. 3 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

Players the Chicago Bears could consider

Darius Alexander

Toldeo defensive tackle Darius Alexander had a rough moment at Wednesday’s practice when USC center Jonah Monheim pancaked him during a team drill. On Thursday, Alexander showed how powerful his six-foot-four, 311-pound frame can be when he uses his hands as a force getting off the ball.

I counted three sacks during a one-on-one drill where he blew by an offensive lineman. One of those linemen was Monheim. Alexander also went by Oregon’s Josh Conerly Jr. during the drill.

Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen is another interior defensive lineman Bears fans should know about. The six-foot-three, 305-pound athlete keeps a good pad level, has quick burst, and uses impressive arm strength to get off blocks as evidenced by this clip where he beat LSU OL Emory Jones.

Oluwafemi Oladejo

UCLA pass rusher Oluwafemi Oladejo, referred to as “FEMI” by his Bruins fans, had an underrated Senior Bowl. The six-foot-three, 250-pound athlete has a mean streak in him. He blew by Monheim so fast in a one-on-one drill Thursday that the USC center called him out. On an immediate redo, the Elk Grove, California, native pushed and weaved to get around Monheim again.

Jamaree Caldwell

Oregon defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell is a big dude. The six-foot-one, 340-pound defensive tackle showed it when he blew by North Dakota State OL Grey Zabel in a one-on-one drill. Caldwell was a run-stopper for the Ducks in 2024, but he recorded 8.5 sacks during his two seasons at Houston. He showed this week that he can get to the passer.

Elijah Arroyo

Arroyo played a key role in Miami’s offense in 2024, recording 35 receptions for 590 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024. It’s easy to see why expected top-10 pick, quarterback Cam Ward, frequently targeted the six-foot-four, 245-pound tight end.

Arroyo did an impressive job using his deceptive quickness to gain separation from defenders. He was constantly finding open space and catching the balls that came his way.
