[This is now going to be my, every B4IN article, standard opening (as of Dec. 19, 2024):
I get it, I really do, all these outlets are operating as a business… And how do they make money? Advertising! (more continues: /media/2024/07/click-bait-here-click-bait-there-everywhere-click-bait-2515961.html )
Yes, sorry, frankly I TOO find especially the initial Ads (they pile up, to be able to get them viewed in case someone doesn't read the whole article) here interrupting a nice/natural Read flow and are ANNOYING (but it keeps the Site FREE FOR VIEWING no Pay Wall to have to BUY your way past) and conversely their annoyance may indeed keep some from wanting to bother (so, Please, there is some GREAT CONTENT here on B4IN, keep reading the entire pieces despite the annoying Ads) and note if you engage an AD BLOCKER often I have found it/they can cause issues with seeing all the intended article content --- don't want you to miss any of mine, nor anyone else who posts here entire content as intended! The authors images (some or all), videos (some or all), their intended cross-reference links (vs Site produced Ad links, the easy Share-At/On buttons, and more, might also get "blocked" from viewing. And so now, to catch any NEW Readers, I too adding to annoyance having to repeat this over and over. My apologies. I endeavor to always give you DETAILED WRITINGS (and cross-reference related links with other rabbit-holes you can go down) hopefully you'll deem worthy of putting up with the annoying Ads to engage in/with.
I am NOT fond of the changes, but I have been with B4IN a long time now - certainly not looking to leave.
Lastly, note: I also wrote for TheLibertyBeacon (https://www.thelibertybeacon.com/?s=Joseph+M+Lenard), where I dropped pieces (normally weekly) on Saturdays for the last 3 years (and even RedState back when) and now joined and dropping pieces via SUBSTACK (https://tinyurl.com/JLDonSubstack).]

March Music Weeks 2-3:

The Need for More Upbeat and Positive Entertainment in Film and Television as well as written/books and Music

TLDR     In a recent episode of the Constitutionalist Politics Podcast, host Joseph M. Lenard and guest Cy Young discuss the importance of uplifting and positive entertainment in film and television, exploring the challenges faced by creators in a market dominated by star power and agendas. They emphasize the need for more lighthearted content that resonates with audiences without heavy-handed messaging.

In a recent episode of the Constitutionalist Politics Podcast, host Joseph M. Lenard and guest Cy Young delve into the pressing need for more upbeat and positive entertainment in the film and television industry mainly but too relates in regard to music for CTP Music Weeks. This discussion highlights the challenges faced by creators and the impact of current trends on audience engagement.

The episode begins with a brief introduction to the concept of “Music Weeks,” a series of episodes designed to explore various aspects of entertainment. Lenard expresses gratitude for the growth of this initiative, which has expanded beyond its original scope to include multiple weeks of content.

Guest Introduction: Cy Young

Cy Young, the guest for this episode, shares a bit about his name, which is not related to the famous baseball player Cy Young. Instead, it was a name chosen by his father, who was inspired by the baseball legend. This light-hearted exchange sets the tone for a casual yet insightful conversation.

The Importance of Upbeat Entertainment

Lenard and Young discuss the overwhelming amount of negative content in today’s entertainment landscape. Young emphasizes the need for more uplifting and positive narratives, particularly in television shows and movies. He notes that many productions seem to prioritize heavy themes over lightheartedness, which can alienate audiences seeking enjoyment.

Examples of Positive Films

Young mentions a film he recently enjoyed, Moneyball, which showcases innovative thinking in baseball management. He appreciates how the film presents a fresh perspective on a traditional sport, highlighting the importance of creativity and resilience. This leads to a broader discussion about the need for films that inspire and entertain without resorting to negativity.

Lenard also brings up Argyle, a recent film that combines comedy, drama, and action, illustrating the potential for fun and engaging storytelling. Both hosts agree that such films are essential for providing audiences with a break from the often grim realities portrayed in mainstream media.

The Role of Stars in Film Production

A significant point of contention arises regarding the reliance on star power in the film industry. Young shares his experiences in Hollywood, where producers often prioritize established stars over new talent. This trend can stifle creativity and limit opportunities for emerging actors and filmmakers.

Lenard and Young argue that the industry should take more risks on lesser-known actors/writers, allowing fresh voices to emerge. They believe that this could lead to a more diverse range of stories and ultimately benefit the audience.

The Challenge of Getting Films Made

Young recounts his own struggles in getting his screenplays produced, highlighting the challenges of navigating the Hollywood landscape. He notes that even strong scripts can be sidelined if they lack a recognizable star. This reality underscores the need for a shift in how films are marketed and produced.

The Impact of Messaging in Entertainment

The conversation shifts to the influence of messaging in films, particularly the rise of politically charged narratives. Lenard expresses concern that many productions feel the need to push a specific agenda, which can detract from the overall enjoyment of a film [and same goes for Music, if/when peddling a particular Political slant]. Young agrees, noting that audiences often prefer subtlety over overt messaging.

They discuss the importance of allowing viewers to draw their own conclusions rather than being force-fed a particular ideology. This approach can lead to more meaningful engagement with the material.

Conclusion: A Call for Change

As the episode wraps up, Leonard and Young reiterate the importance of creating more upbeat and positive entertainment. They call on creators and producers to focus on storytelling that uplifts and inspires, rather than simply catering to trends or agendas. By doing so, they believe the industry can foster a more enjoyable and inclusive environment for all audiences.

In summary, the discussion highlights a critical need for change in the entertainment industry, advocating for a return to storytelling that prioritizes joy and positivity. As audiences continue to seek out uplifting content, it is essential for creators to respond to this demand and explore new avenues for engaging storytelling.
